Appointed to the Project Manager underneath JST Moonshot Research and Development Program “Goal 6”
QITF Director Nagayama has been appointed as the PM for the additional proposal “Quantum Communication Networks” underneath JST Moonshot R&D Project Objective 6 “Realization of Error Tolerant General Purpose Quantum Computers for Breakthrough Economic, Industrial, and Security Development by 2050” (PD: Professor Katsuhiro Kitagawa, Graduate School of Engineering Science, Osaka University). The project title is “Scalable and Robust Integrated Quantum Communication System”

In that project, they will build a testbed for a general-purpose quantum communication network, which is a key technology for distributed large-scale quantum computers, and integrate hardware and software to demonstrate the principles and technologies of communication architectures and protocols with a view to actual operation.
